I worked professionally as a Software Engineer (mainly Backend/Platform) for a wide variety of companies, from early stage startup to corporate, from 50, 500 to more than 50K employees, in different team settings, scales, technologies, and businesses.
I also have been coding since 2012.

Competitive Programming 🏅

I started training for programming competitions in my freshman year in college, and started participating in competitions since, I have competed at the Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (an ICPC Nationals contest) 4 times(2016-2019), and qualified for the Arab and African Collegiate Programming Contest (an ICPC Regional contest) 2 times (2018, 2019).

Currently, I participate in competitions occasionally In my free time, usually at LeetCode (rated top 3%)

Volunteering 🤝

Currently, I’m mentoring a team of talented senior Computer Engineering students through their graduation project.

In the past I contributed to the competitive programming community as a mentor, coach, and community leader for about 4 years (2017-2020).
Additionally, I helped establish a rising community in “October 6th University” who a year later have been able to qualify to the regionals.

I also organized and attended several training camps for problem-solving competitions.

Early Starts 🎒

I owned my first computer a bit late when I was 12, and had internet access for the first time at the age of 14. I was a boy who doesn’t know how to stop asking, (feeling bad for my parents for that now 😅). When I found out that on Google I can ask as much as I can and find answers for whatever I ask anytime. It was as if I found a hidden treasure.

I remember back then I started to learn about many things like graphic design, adding subtitles to Japanese anime, ethical hacking and computer security, and for sure -as any teenager would do- MMORPG games, Rappelz was my favorite back then; It was that game what triggered me to learn more about how these games are built.

So, I started learning to programming and built several applications using C#. And during my 2nd year of high school, I had already made up my mind that I wanted to have my professional career in this field.

Things I enjoy

Night walks, ping-pong, nature, visual arts, photography, tech, science, poetry, quality time with friends and family, casually watching some anime/TV series, and occasionally playing video games.
